課程概述 |
This course teaches students how to write a research paper in MLA style. Each student has to choose a favorite literary text and then adopt a critical approach to analyze it. They proceed from sketching a topic outline and a proposal. Then they assemble critical essays for a working bibliography and take notes from them. Finally, they write the draft, make revisions until a good research paper is completed. Each student is required to give four reports about his writing process in class. In this way students can exchange critical ideas, learn the scholarship of others’ texts, and share the valuable experiences of writing scholarly papers.
This course will also teach students to write letters and curriculum vitae.

課程目標 |
The aim of this course is to train students to write a research paper with academic apparatus. As each student is advised to choose a favorite literary text for analysis, his research in the library and on the internet will enrich his knowledge of modern scholarship in a literary field. Oral reports will improve his skills in speech and debate. |
